Macaque Brainnetome Atlas
Macaque Brainnetome Atlas (MBA) is a new macaque monkey atlas characterized by the anatomical connectivity of 304 subregions accompanied with the structural and the resting functional connectome. Compared with the existing monkey brain atlas, our atlas has several advantages: 1) the population atlas uses high spatial and angular resolution DWI images of 8 ex-vivo monkey samples to present the reproducible connectivity contrast; 2) it conveys both detailed structural and resting functional connection pattern of each subregion; 3) A comprehensive validation was conducted across different dataset including ex-vivo, in-vivo MRI images and tracer study; 4) white surface (white/gray matter interface) based tracking was used for cortical parcellation to avoid streamlines originating from gray matter where the orientation estimation uncertainty increases; 5) we provide both surface and volume versions of the atlas for convenient and extensive usage.
